Rajkumar Dhiman, CEO of Carnelian Mutual Fund, brings more than two decades of experience in the mutual fund industry. His expertise spans business strategy, channel development, and digital transformation, with a strong focus on building scalable growth platforms across distribution channels. Over the course of his career, Rajkumar has held leadership roles with Nippon India Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, and Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund. He has led large-scale, multichannel sales transformations, strengthened distribution partnerships, and leveraged technology to make investing simpler and more accessible for investors. Rajkumar holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance.

Roles and Responsibilities for Risk Management

  • Monitor and manage risk at both AMC and Scheme level.
  • Review the outcomes of risk management function on a periodic basis.
  • Ensure adherence to the roles and responsibility including KRAs of Chief Investment Officer (“CIO”) and other CXO relating to risk management as per this RMF.
  • Define Delegation of Power (DoP) framework for daily risk management, reporting and corrective actions and place it with Board of AMC for approval.
  • Define risk appetite at AMC and scheme level along with CRO and place these at the risk committees for approvals.
  • Review risks events across different functions and approve corrective / recommended actions highlighted by the CIO and other CXOs.
  • Define risk metric for CIO, Fund Managers & other CXOs.
  • Ensure adequate organizational resources—people, systems and tools for effective risk management under the SEBI RMF.
  • Review identified fraud incidents, loss and near miss incidents along with corrective action plans and report to the risk committee.
  • Report and escalate corrective actions on major findings to the Board of AMC and Trustee.
  • Ensure adherence to the risk management framework of SEBI.
  • Implement corrective actions in response to observations and recommendations from the Board and the Board Risk Management Committee of the AMC and the Trustees.
